Laser surgery is done to correct the
vision issues like astigmatism, farsightedness and nearsightedness. Laser eye
surgeries are also done by persons to remove dependence on glasses. Before
deciding about any eye surgery, the person should consult the doctor to check
the eye conditions and know which type of surgery would suite the person. A
person should also know if he or she is a candidate for eye surgery.
Many surgeries are performed with the
laser. In lasik surgery, the laser is used to reshape the cornea to correct the
vision. The under lined corneal tissue
is reshaped to focus light into the eye and onto the retina. In this surgery the flab is made in the outer
layer of the cornea to access the underlying tissue. This surgery is also done with help of
computer imaging called wave front technology, in which detail image of cornea
is used as guide for treatment.
The lasek surgery has some resemblance with
Laser Eye Surgery
in Delhi the PRK surgery. In
this surgery, an epithellai cells are treated with alcohol to loosen them
before creating flab. The laser is used to reshape the cornea. The flab is then
replaced and covered with soft contact lens for healing.
The RLE, refractive lens exchange,
surgery is like the surgery done to remove cataracts. In this surgery a small
incision is made at the edge of the cornea. Then natural lens of the eye is
removed and a silicon or plastic lens is put in its place. This surgery is done
to correct the extreme cases of farsightedness or nearsightedness. For curing
astigmatism issue, the Lasik procedure can be combined with this surgery. Often
the people with dry eyes, thin cornea or any minor issue related to cornea are
given RLE surgery.
EPILASIK is used to separate Eye
Treatment Delhi India a thin cell layer from cornea to reshape the
internal cornea with laser. The thin cell layer can be replaced or left
according to the procedure of the surgery selected. Laser treated area is the
covered with soft contact lens for healing. The success rate of all these surgeries is
more than 98 %. Person can take these surgeries as outpatient and don’t need
hospitalization. The patients have shown
improvemts in vision after few days of treatment. In rare cases, the issues of overcorrection
or under correction, infection may occur. Sometimes the desired results may not
come from one surgery and another surgery is required, but again the cases of
this nature are very rare.
